Cellulite Basics:
What you need to know

For anyone considering the CelluBike Program, we’ve put together ashort primer to cover some basic things you should be familiar with. We’ll cover subjects such as what precisely is cellulite, what causes cellulite, and how the CelluBike Program works. We’ll also offer a few suggestions on what you can do to maximize the results you’ll experience during and after your CelluBike Program and how infrared technology can help.

WHAT PRECISELY IS CELLULITE?

Cellulite is the term used to describe pockets of trapped fat that cause uneven and dimpling skin. It appears most often in post-adolescent women, it is rarely seen in men. This is due to how muscle, fat, and connective tissue are distributed within the female and male bodies. Cellulite is most commonly found on the thighs, buttocks, hips, and abdomen. Studies have shown that hormones, age, and lifestyle all play a significant role in the appearance of cellulite.

WHAT CAUSES CELLULITE?

Before discussing the CelluBike Program, we wanted to take a quick minute to go over exactly how cellulite forms. Beneath the epidermis and dermis are three layers; muscle, reserve fat, and subcutaneous fat. Cellulite forms in the subcutaneous fat layer, which is trapped between the dermis and the reserve fat.

Fat Layers

This subcutaneous layer is structurally different because its fat lobes are squeezed by the surrounding strands of tissue and are then organized into chambers. Eventually, the connective tissue begins to break down and allows the fat chambers to move into the dermis which creates the cottage cheese effect that so many people dislike.

There are a variety of reasons why some people are more prone to cellulite than others. Genetics, environmental conditions, and lifestyle are all believed to play a part in the appearance of cellulite. But the bottom line is that 90% of all women over 20 years old will develop the dreaded dimples.

Infrared energy is part of the range of electromagnetic rays that are absolutely necessary for metabolism and growth of humans and are also part of the natural light spectrum of sunlight minus the skin damaging UV, which is why NASA spacecraft have utilized this heat. It is also vibration energy, with which the human body resonates - this is the reason that it can penetrate through the skin.

INFRARED HEAT IS SO SAFE; IT IS USED TO WARM PREMATURE BABIES.
Asia and Europe have already revolutionized health and beauty products using this technology - CelluBike is only one example. As it penetrates the surface epidermis through to the subcutaneous tissues it transforms from light energy to heat energy. This causes the blood vessels and capillaries in the deeper layers of tissue to dilate, promoting better blood circulation which softens the fat held in the hypodermis (subcutaneous layer of fat) and promotes better circulation.

Fat is a toxin-storer. Infrared has the ability to soften the fatty tissue and release the toxins as well as the cellulite from the skin. It is beneficial to the surface of the skin, as well, and can aid in clearing acne, eczema, psoriasis and other various skin sensitivities.
